Hi everyone,

I'm sorry for neglecting this blog, August has been so crazy with holiday and then trying to catch up on work. If you've missed my holiday blog post, check it out here.

I've been practising my one stroke painting skills and today's manicure is the result. As you might know I haven't had any official training so I have a long way to go to those beautiful professional flowers but I'll keep practicing until I get there!

The reason this manicure is on Lucy's Stash PRO is because I have used Nsi Secrets Prism Paints that are mostly available to the professionals only. But if you'll get a chance to buy them, go for it! I love especially the black because it's really well-pigmented and I often use it for fine lines and nail art. I need to test some other colours soon!

I started with two coats of black polish, in this case Models Own Liquorice. Then I've used the Nsi Secrets Prism Paints in Little White Lies and Deep Secrets to paint the flowers and leaves. All sealed with Seche Vite top coat.

So what do you think? Let me know in the comments! Lucie x

Hi everyone,

Since the beginning of this year, I have started a Nail Technology course in my local college and last week I finally finished! I'm just awaiting my certificates and then I'll be officially a qualified nail technician!

The first lesson was a bit scary because I didn't know much about acrylic or gel systems but luckily we were starting slowly and learning how to prepare the nail, glue the tip, cut it and blend it. We were practicing on those hand trainers that look a bit weird but it did help a lot to have moveable hand and fingers. It wasn't so bad so I shook off a little bit of the nervousness. There were about 12 other girls (and ladies) in my class so it was a bit like a girls only evening ;)

In the next lesson we were shown how to apply acrylic over the tip and nail. Guys that smell! For some time I really hated the smell of the evaporating liquid because when multiplied by 13 it can be very overpowering. I got used to it but in the future I will be working with the odourless version. I would get to learn gel, fibreglass and silk systems in the following weeks and then it was just practice before bringing in our first clients *cough* victims. These were my first ever gel (1st pic) and acrylic nails...

I know they are not perfect but it got better and better with practice :) During the course we also had to submit numerous written assignments and sit tests so the studying and writing papers consumed a lot of my free time that I usually dedicate to blogging. That's why launch of Lucy's Stash PRO has been delayed a bit.

Stay tuned for the part 2 where I'll show you my supplies ;)

Have a lovely day! Lucie x
